The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep 6000M — from the bottom of the ocean to your wrist
In 2019, OMEGA was part of the Five Deeps Expedition — the first mission to reach the deepest point in each of the world’s five oceans. At Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench, a prototype Seamaster Ultra Deep was attached to the submersible’s exterior, descending to 10,928 metres. It survived. OMEGA then engineered a commercial version of that watch, water-resistant to 6,000 metres — the deepest rating of any production dive watch, and one that exceeds its own ISO 6425:2018 saturation divers’ standard by a factor of six.
The Ultra Deep is not a watch that borrows dive aesthetics. It is a watch built for actual underwater pressure, in a case architecture specifically designed to handle it, tested in real ocean conditions before it went on sale.
The 215.30.46.21.06.001 is the orange bezel variant — the loudest, most immediately identifiable of the Ultra Deep configurations, and the one that makes the most direct statement. It pairs OMEGA’s polished orange ceramic bezel with a gradient grey-to-black dial and four orange Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9. The effect is bold and deliberate: this watch does not attempt subtlety, and it does not need to.
The case and bezel — engineering for 600 bar
The 45.5mm case is constructed in O-MEGASTEEL — OMEGA’s proprietary alloy, harder and more corrosion-resistant than standard 316L stainless steel, developed specifically for the Seamaster line. The case is 18.12mm thick, a dimension driven by the helical case construction and the multiple layers of pressure resistance required for 6,000-metre certification.
The orange ceramic bezel is unidirectional, with 120 detent clicks for precision timing underwater. The diving scale markings are applied using liquid ceramic filled with Super-LumiNova — a material that bonds permanently with the ceramic body, eliminating the risk of fading or peeling that affects painted or printed bezel scales.
The crystal is domed, protuberant, and heavily convex — arching outward from the bezel to counteract the pressure forces at depth. At the surface it creates a distinctive magnified bubble effect over the dial, visible from any angle. Both inner and outer surfaces carry anti-reflective treatment.
The dial
The gradient lacquer dial transitions from grey to deep black, giving the watch visual depth even in daylight. Four Arabic numerals in orange appear at the quarter hours — 12, 3, 6, and 9 — matching the bezel accent colour. All hands and applied hour markers are 18k white gold, coated with white Super-LumiNova for legibility in total darkness.
The caseback carries a Grade 5 titanium medallion with a laser-engraved Sonar emblem and the iconic OMEGA Seahorse — a reference to the Five Deeps Expedition equipment from which this commercial watch descends.

Calibre 8912 — Master Chronometer explained
The Calibre 8912 carries OMEGA’s Co-Axial escapement — the friction-reducing escapement geometry licensed from George Daniels that extends service intervals substantially compared to a conventional lever escapement. Two mainspring barrels mounted in series provide 60 hours of power reserve with a more consistent power delivery curve than a single barrel. The silicon balance spring is non-magnetic and unaffected by temperature variation.
The Master Chronometer certification means the movement was tested twice: first as a raw calibre by COSC to ISO 3159 chronometer standard (-4/+6 seconds per day), then again after casing by METAS — the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology — across eight additional tests including magnetic resistance, power reserve accuracy, and water resistance simulation. The final certified accuracy is 0/+5 seconds per day. This is the strictest watch certification programme in Swiss watchmaking.

What is the Co-Axial escapement in OMEGA watches? The Co-Axial escapement was invented by British watchmaker George Daniels and licensed by OMEGA, first used in a production watch in 1999. It uses a three-surface locking and impulse geometry rather than the conventional two-surface lever escapement design, dramatically reducing sliding friction inside the escapement. This means less lubrication is required, lubricants degrade more slowly, and service intervals are significantly extended compared to conventional movements. - We inspect the finer details of the watch upon receiving, which includes an in-depth inspection of the dial, the movement and finer components.
- The watch is tested and verified using sophisticated and modern Swiss machines we have available in-house. This includes:

- Upon authentication and examination, a pressure testing is completed to evaluate its water resistance
You are also welcome to authenticate the watch when you receive it from us. Our return policy is that you can return any watch you purchase from us within 01 day if you find any issues or if the watch is not as we described it to be, to receive a full refund.
We are a preowned and/or pre-loved watch dealer meaning that while the watch may be unused, unworn and new in condition, it was previously owned by someone as sold by the factory/flagship boutique of the brand such as Rolex, AP, Patek etc.

- There are no signs of use but there may be some handling marks. The handling marks mostly apply to older year/older stock pieces inherently from storage, handling etc. but can sometimes exist on recent year/fresh stock pieces too.

- The watch is not worn or used but there may be some light marks from storage and handling.
- The watch may be New-old-stock (NOS), not current dated (the date on the card is previous year)

- The watch is not unworn, but it’s carefully and lightly used. There may be little to no signs of use, hairlines, surface marks with no deep dents or scratches of note unless you inspect up close, at a particular angle or using a loupe etc. i.e. the marks may not be discernible in day-to-day wear.
- The watch may have been lightly refinished/polished to make it retail ready, unless specified otherwise.
- No dents or dings visible to unaided human eye or can be physically felt when you rub your finger over the surface.
- No chips on the crystal visible to unaided human eye.
