Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 Green Dial 124300

The Oyster Perpetual is Rolex’s purest expression: no date window, no complication, no distraction — just the movement, the dial, and the case. The 124300 in 41mm was the first generation to break from convention with bold lacquer dials, and the green variant is one of the most consistent performers of that release on the secondary market.

This is now a closed reference. Rolex replaced the 124300 with the 134300 at Watches & Wonders 2025, and with it retired most of the original Stella-inspired lacquer colours. The green dial is among those no longer in current production, replaced by 134300, which moved to softer matte tones — which means this full-set 2024 example represents the final generation of this specific configuration.

The watch

The OP 41 sits at 41mm across in Rolex’s signature Oystersteel (904L stainless), with a polished smooth bezel and a sapphire crystal. The green dial is a lacquer finish, carrying Chromalight-filled hour markers and matching hands. No date window — the dial reads clean at all three, six, nine, and twelve.

  • Reference: 124300 (sub-ref. 124300-0005)
  • Year: 2024
  • Dial: Green lacquer, Chromalight lume
  • Case: 41mm Oystersteel (904L), polished smooth bezel, solid caseback
  • Crystal: Scratch-resistant sapphire
  • Water resistance: 100m / 330ft
  • Bracelet: Oyster, three-link Oystersteel, Oysterclasp with Rolex Easylink extension
  • Movement: Calibre 3230, self-winding, COSC-certified Superlative Chronometer
  • Power reserve: 70 hours
  • Frequency: 28,800 vph (4 Hz), 31 jewels, Chronergy escapement
  • Set: Full set — inner box, outer box, green Rolex warranty card, manual, booklet, wallet, green hang tag
Condition

Excellent. The watch presents with no meaningful wear to the case or bracelet — only light marks of use as in the photos. The dial is clean and undamaged. The bracelet links are tight. The full set is intact and complete, including the warranty card.

Why the 124300 green now matters more than it did at retail

When Rolex launched the 124300 in 2020 with its range of bold Stella-inspired lacquer dials, the green sat slightly in the shadow of the more headline-grabbing turquoise. With the reference now discontinued and the 134300 moving to a softer, matte palette, the original lacquer dials — green included — are being reappraised by collectors who recognise what a closed chapter means for supply. The 124300 green has a clean look without the polarising associations of the turquoise or coral, which makes it a more versatile secondary market piece. A 2024 full-set example is as fresh as this reference gets.

FAQs

Is this Rolex Oyster Perpetual 124300 green dial available in Australia? Yes. This 2024 124300 in green is held in stock in Perth by Calibre24 and ships fully insured to any address in Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide. In-person viewings are available in Perth by appointment.

What is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 124300 green dial? The 124300 is Rolex’s 41mm Oyster Perpetual, introduced in 2020. The green dial version — reference 124300-0005 — features a bold lacquer finish inspired by vintage Rolex Stella dials from the 1970s. It is powered by the in-house Calibre 3230 with a 70-hour power reserve and carries Rolex’s Superlative Chronometer certification. Rolex replaced the 124300 with the 134300 in 2025, making the original lacquer dials a closed and increasingly collected chapter.

What is the difference between the Rolex 124300 and 134300? The 134300 replaced the 124300 at Watches & Wonders 2025. The 41mm case size is retained, but the 134300 features slimmer lugs, a slightly thinner bezel, and a new matte pastel dial palette — pistachio, beige, and lavender — replacing the gloss lacquer dials of the 124300. The Calibre 3230 movement carries over unchanged. For collectors, the 124300’s original lacquer dials, including the green, are now discontinued production.

Does this Rolex 124300 come with box and papers? Yes, complete full set — inner and outer boxes, green Rolex warranty card, manual, booklet, wallet, and hang tag.

What is the Calibre 3230 in the Rolex Oyster Perpetual? The 3230 is Rolex’s proprietary self-winding movement, introduced in 2020. It runs at 28,800 vph, carries a 70-hour power reserve from a single barrel, and uses Rolex’s Chronergy escapement for improved energy efficiency. It is certified as a Superlative Chronometer to Rolex’s own standard, meaning accuracy within +/- 2 seconds per day.

Is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 a good investment? The 124300 has shown stronger secondary market performance than the Oyster Perpetual historically commanded, driven by the 2020 colour dial release and the subsequent discontinuation of the reference. That said, watch values fluctuate and Calibre24 does not give investment advice. What we can say is that a 2024 full-set example in excellent condition is one of the most complete, freshest form this reference takes on the pre-owned market.

Can I sell or trade in my Rolex? Yes. Calibre24 buys and takes consignment on Rolex and other high-end references. Contact us for a current valuation.
